Whoooo.... whoooo....

This little guy or gal was sitting in a courtyard in Tucson.

And he or she let John take a picture before it took off.

I think it's a Burrowing Owl.

Pretty cute, huh?

I have a traveling post coming up, so stay tuned ;)

  4. What a beautiful creature. Wow he or she had their eyes wide open to your hubby taking their picture. Looks like a young owl from his/her size. How fun you could capture this.
    Happy New Week.

  5. Wow! What a lucky guy to be able to get a great shot like that! Owls are very cool. We had two that lived in the tree outside our bedroom window last summer and their hooting was wonderful to hear at night. xo

  7. Cute little owl. My husband loves owls. We had a big owl, Barn, I think, in our neighbors palm tree and he took picture after picture of him while I worried about out little doggies being whisked away. Hope you had fun in Tucson!

    1. I would have worried about the pups too! I haven't heard an owl around here, but I know they're out there.

  10. Adorable. I use to have an owl that perched in the courtyard of my old house. It loved the wall with the vines, because it is sort of like a cliff to them. Great photo! xoxo Su
