A little heart

I have a blogging friend that makes very sweet things.

I went to take a look at her Etsy shop, because she said she had put some more of her creations on there.

All of them were beautiful, but there was this little tiny heart that spoke to my heart and I knew I had to have it in my home with me.

I just got it a few days ago.

She made an even tinier one for the inside of my thank you card.

Isn't it adorable?

And this is the one that spoke to me...

I'm so thrilled to have it.

A beautiful little piece of my friend, made by her very own hands.

I have it hanging in my office right now, so I can look up at it everyday from where I blog, and smile :)

Thank you, Flower Lady.

For being my friend.

For being so kind.

and

For just being you.

xo

PS

Thank you for all the get well wishes.
It was just a little cold, but I feel so much better now.
I think it was the wishes that helped ;)

but that beautifully made little heart made me think of a pair of white mittens my mother made for me... with flowers just like those on them. took my breath a little bit there. and brought back immediate memories for me of a special christmas in the colorado mountains.
    i'm glad you're feeling better!
and though i'm browsing through past posts... i promise not to comment on every one! LOLOL!

  4. Oh, Rue that is so so cute - no wonder it spoke to your heart!

I love surrounding myself with things that bring me joy - it's so "Feng Shui!"

I am so glad you are feeling better. Summer colds are the WORST. My husband is absolutely miserable, is just unhappy camper with his allergies and all the molds from all this rain out there - he told me last night he wants to be the Boy in The Bubble. Poor dear. Hugs to you.

PS Huge storm just went by - this is Day 13 of rain.

  7. Hi Rue, This is the third time I am commenting. I couldn't get them to publish. Sigh. It looks like it might post this time because my profile shows Google.

I love the sweet hearts too. I will have to visit the Flower Lady.

I do hope you are feeling better. Thank you for your well wishes for Bill. He is improving each day but it is a long recovery.

Wishing you a happy and healthy week my sweet friend.
    Love,
    Jeanne

  9. Rue, that is really lovely silk ribbon embroidery! The yellow rose one is speaking to me! Yes, we'll be up there for the holiday weekend! Last year, we saw the fireworks from my mother's front porch, this year, we're having a picnic and watch them from a park near her house! Maybe we'll bump into each other down by the square! =) Glad you are feeling better! hugs, Christine

  10. What a beautiful piece and a wonderful treasure! I love handmade items. They always have a small piece of the person made into them. It is like they send a small part of themselves with the treasures they create! So special!! Glad you are feeling better!! Hugs!!

  11. That is a lovely heart, to a lovely woman, from another lovely woman! And the tiny heart in the card speaks to me of a bygone day, in an old-fashioned world, where women shared their crafts with each other. It makes me smile to think of it!

  29. I adore ribbon embroidery and this is truly a lovely piece. How I wished you had lived in AZ when I did. I am ever so thankful though to no longer endure the Phoenician summers.

  30. It's easy to see why that sweet little heart spoke to you. There's something about it, call it old-fashioned, that says 'I want to belong to Rue'.

    Glad you're better!

Thank you so much for leaving a comment. It means so much to me that you took the time and I read each and every one. If you don't have a blog, look for a response under your comment. I try to get to them within a few days :)

For some reason, the comment box doesn't always show up, so if you want to leave a comment, replying to someone else's comment seems to work. Also, I've had to switch from safari to chrome in order to comment on blogger, so that might be the issue. If not, you can always reach me via email, located on my side bar. Thank you!
