Migrating birdies

The other day, when I was dusting, I did some rearranging of my shelves in the living room.

Four hours later.....

What?! It takes time!

Okay, I'm kind of OCD, so shoot me :p

Anyway, I realized that I needed a new place for quite a few things.

You see, my mom decided she didn't want a lot of her glass animals, when she moved, and so she gave them to me. Not really knowing what to do with them at the time, I kind of just shoved them on shelves until I decided what I wanted to do.

One of the groups came from my aunt, that gave her a bird a year for six years, and because I felt so bad for cooping them up for so long, I gave them a new place to live, with a view.

I figured that even if they couldn't fly, at least they could enjoy the outdoors from a window ;)

So I migrated them to my office.

They seem pretty happy up there.

Of course my favorite is the green one, but don't tell the others ;)

  4. I love your little birdies, Rue. I am new to your blog, but you will find out that birds hold a special place in my heart. So when I saw the birds on your window sill, I smiled big.

And the green one is my favorite too, but that blue comes in a close second.

  5. Those are really sweet, and they look quite content up there. I just love what colored or any glass can do to a room, in the right spot.

  17. Lovely a perfect place. My stepmother had a crystal handing from a window and the colors that reflected on the wall were so pretty.

  23. They look extra pretty in the window, reflecting the light outside! I never realized how many knick knacks I accumulated over the years until I moved. I donated some to Goodwill, but I did move a lot with me ;)

  25. You know, what lucky little feathered friends to have you to attend to them. I have several birds too-I am definitely neglecting them-moving them to a brighter spot for certain!

Thank you so much for leaving a comment. It means so much to me that you took the time and I read each and every one. If you don't have a blog, look for a response under your comment. I try to get to them within a few days :)

For some reason, the comment box doesn't always show up, so if you want to leave a comment, replying to someone else's comment seems to work. Also, I've had to switch from safari to chrome in order to comment on blogger, so that might be the issue. If not, you can always reach me via email, located on my side bar. Thank you!
