My little dining room

This is the view from my living room into the dining room.

The details of that arch, the built in cubbies and the built in cupboards are a few of the many things that made me fall in love with this house.

I know you've seen bits and pieces of the dining room here and there, but I thought I'd show you the whole room this time.

On the left is the kitchen ...

and on the right is my office and sewing room.

It's not ready for it's debut yet, so we'll visit it another time ;)

If you were a follower of my other blog, you probably remember the antique table, the chairs, and my great grandmother's hutch that were in the last house.

I've debated back and forth about replacing the chairs with smaller ones, but I love them so much I can't seem to do it.

Here's the original chandelier.

At first I didn't know it was, but after some research it turns out it really is 1920s art deco.

I also wasn't sure if I liked it that much, but it's grown on me and I love it now :)

I took about a billion pictures of it the other day, so it's going to be awhile ;)

My mom gave me that grandfather clock when I bought my first house.

It was broken for years after a move, but my honey had it fixed on my birthday and it works great now.

The little thing hanging in the arch is the doorbell.

Isn't it cute?

It makes the best sound :)

Well.... until the dogs start barking.

These are the flowers I gave my daughter, Annie for Valentine's Day. 

She wanted them to go in here, so that everyone could enjoy them.

Pretty sweet kid, huh?

Well, that's it. 

The room is kind of little, so it was a pretty short tour, but I hope you enjoyed it :)
