The other day I was busy cleaning up my desk and when I looked up, it was snowing!
So what would any blogger, worth her salt, do?
Grab her camera and take pictures ;)
Of course, I waited until morning to go outside :)
Autumn colors covered in winter white... amazing.
Guess who wasn't happy about the change in temperature that came with the snow?
Poor baby... he hates his sweater.
Don't feel too bad for him though.
A fire was lit at my first glimpse of the white stuff...
and he cuddled with me under a blanket.
Bubba's life is not as rough as he would have you believe.
But don't tell him I told you that ;)

The snow is pretty and your house looks so cozy. :)
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be something magical about the first snow of the season isn't there. :)
ReplyDeleteLooks absolutely beautiful!! I cannot wait until we get our first snow...I'm so looking forward to it!! Bubba is spoiled rotten...LOL Love and hugs!!
ReplyDeleteit all looks so beautiful! we have yet to get ours - but a little higher up the mountain might be getting it tonight.
ReplyDeleteIt really is magical, isn't it? You were so fortunate to capture this with your camera. It's just beautiful, Rue.
ReplyDeleteOur pups love to sleep on blankets but won't get under them, and the LOVE the snow, especially Rowdy who plows through it like a bull. LOL Your first snow is certainly pretty!
ReplyDeleteHow magical with the first snow! I'm sure Bubba and Mini is cuddling by the fire with mom:) Kathleen in Az
ReplyDeleteOf course! We all were :)

Very pretty and your newly painted house looks super cozy!!
ReplyDeleteSnow? This is totally messing with my head. I thought you were a Southern gal. Your little companion is as cute as he can be. Everything looks cozy and pretty at your house!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you had snow! I live on the north coast of Ohio and we have had unseasonably warm days - up to 70 on several occasions! We are all walking around (as much as possible outdoors) and saying "I can't believe this is November"! It will be our turn soon!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Rue! You've had more snow than we've had in Minnesota! Your pup is so cute!
ReplyDeleteOh, Rue, these photos are brimming with magic and charm. I loved this peek into your beautiful world.
ReplyDeleteOh my! Gorgeous....just gorgeous! I so wish for snow sometimes. It is truly magical! Thanks for sharing. Have a great week!!
ReplyDeleteOh, Rue, your house looks so cozy and warm - I adore the yellow paint!! And your Bubba....oh boy, I just want to cuddle him - he's so cute! My babies hate their sweaters also....but my little one will shiver and shake like she's dying even when it's 50 degrees out - pathetic, really....but don't tell her I told you that...and I won't tell Bubba you were sharing his secrets!! :)
ReplyDeletePretty pics Rue! It's beautiful to look at but I'm not ready to see snow in my neck of the woods. ;)
ReplyDeleteOoooh...I want that too ! We are having 24ºC here in my corner of the world ! (75.2) :(
ReplyDeleteRue, I cannot believe that you had snow before I did! The temps here in Indiana have been in the 60's in November!!! It is really scary to have such high temps this time of year. Enjoy the snow :) Tell Bubba that Spring will come before he knows it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a weird year, isn't it? We don't normally get snow until the end of November.
DeleteI'll let him know ;)
xo
Just enough snow to make things pretty!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing more magical than the first snow of the season. Such pretty photos! How funny that I'm in northern MN and it was almost 60 yesterday! Your living room looks so cozy with the fireplace lit.
ReplyDeleteMagical.
ReplyDeleteFirst snow outside, and a fire inside. Perfect!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful, but seems so early for snow! Does your area normally get it that early? Even though I think the first snow is always beautiful, I'm in no hurry to get it here. ;-)
ReplyDeleteHow amazingly beautiful and cozy!
ReplyDeleteI just discovered your blog via My Irish Cottage Home. What a warm & inviting home you have. Thanks so much for sharing. Your pups are precious too!
ReplyDeletePeace and Blessings,
Karen
Well our temps dropped a LOT in the last two days, and it is raining - so prolly what you had just warmed up a bit. Oh Rue, I am so so so not ready for snow and winter. I adore fall and want it just a little longer! AARRGGHH!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful first snow you had! Ours didn't last overnight, although I thought it might. Your pictures are lovely, and your poor sweet Bubba, we have a dog who doesn't care for the cold either, and would rather snuggle inside, while our other one (a Husky/German Shepherd) adores the snow, lol! Your home looks so lovely and cozy with the fire going! :)
ReplyDeleteRue, it made my heart glad just to see the snow, even it was through your pics. I don't get to see the snow much here unless we travel to the mountains, about an hour away. I loved the picture of the white snow covering the green trees. I am still enjoying Autumn here, and it has been raining a lot lately. : )
ReplyDeleteThe fireplace picture is so pretty. You can see the snow through your windows.
~Sheri
I have developed a crush on Bubba. What a face! But I am a sucker for little guys like him.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't snow make being inside comfy and cozy?
Simply amazing and beautiful!!!!!
ReplyDeleteBarb
I don't blame Bubba as I do not being out in snow and do not like sweaters! Maybe we are related! LOL Snow scenes are pretty to look at but not fun to trudge through.
ReplyDeleteSomething told me Bubba is living la vita loca ;). And why not? He's your baabbyyyyy!
ReplyDeleteWho would have thought an Arizona girl would get snow before a New England one. You're such an overachiever ;).
Very beautiful, I could cope with that amount of snow! xx
ReplyDeleteRue,
ReplyDeleteThat second picture looks like a Christmas card pic. So beautiful. Little Bubba is adorable. Your fire in the fire place does look warm and cozy.
Kris
Hi Rue, The first snow is so pretty. Bubba is just so cute curled up on his bed warm and cozy. Your fireplace is charming. Enjoy the season! xo
ReplyDeleteHi Rue, we woke up to it on Monday as well. But unlike you, our leaves have long since fallen from the trees. Your house is so cozy looking - begs for a cup of hot something curled up in front of the fire. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow! Hard to believe you got some before we did! (Wisconsin). Your home looks warm and cozy ...so does Bubba! Enjoy the white stuff! ;)
ReplyDeleteIt IS weird, isn't it?! Thank you Donnamae. You're always so sweet :)

Oh how pretty, Rue! I am just not ready for snow yet!!! I know that it is not far off for us though. What part of the country do you live in? Are you in the midwest? Everything looks just beautiful with your snow cove and your fire goingr! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteThat's one crazy picture Rue! Leaves still on the trees and snow? Still beautiful though!
ReplyDeleteLove the first snow of the season! You captured it perfectly.
ReplyDeleteRue, your living room looks so cozy and warm and inviting! Happy late fall!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty. Love the snow and love the way the room looks in the warm light of a fire. There is nothing prettier than snow in the high desert. xoxo Su

ReplyDeleteAs much as I do dread the "s" word, your pictures are lovely. We are likely living on borrowed time as we have had temps in the 70's last week and near 60* this week. Crazy weather! Your little guy looks ... so little. We have 2 Greyhounds and they are quite the opposite!! Hopefully some of the snow in CA will help the drought out their way. How high in elevation are you?
ReplyDeleteHe is little! LOL Especially next to a normal size dog. When I first got him, he scared me to death, because I thought I'd lose him.
DeleteWe're around 5200 feet. We usually get snow in November, just not this early!
xo
Lovely snow--since we do not get it here on the CA coast I love seeing other peoples pictures of it!
ReplyDeleteI do love how you can make even a cold snowy day seem cozy within the walls of your home! I'm loving how the paint turned out too. You have a gift my friend. :)
ReplyDeleteThe snow looks so pretty in your yard and through your windows! We had snow one day but it all melted the same day. Sweet Bubba!
ReplyDeleteHa, he is so cute. I love that smile on him. :-))
ReplyDeleteI love snow, I can not wait for it to start here in Wisconsin.
Lovely photos as always.
xx oo

Hi Rue,
ReplyDeleteBubba just makes me smile, love him! Suddenly Autumn eases into Winter. With the glow of your Yellow walls and a fire going there's great warmth and beauty inside. I mentioned this before, I love the look of your outdoors and with the blanket of snow gorgeous,
xoxo,
Vera
Poor Bubba, bless his heart! It's a shame he can't appreciate such beauty! ha! (Your pictures are amazing). But he does look quite cozy in his cozy, pretty surroundings indoors! :) ~Rhonda
ReplyDeletei'm in love with your cottage.

The snow is lovely. It looks so pretty out your newly painted living room. So cozy and warm!
ReplyDeleteIt looks lovely through your windows :)

ReplyDeleteThe snow looks so pretty. Living in Texas we rarely see it, but I think the amount in your pictures would be just the right amount. Deep enough to look pretty but not so deep that everything stops. A little jealous but since I can't drive in the snow, kind of glad to be in Texas.
ReplyDeleteYay! The first snow of winter is so magical, and you captured it beautifully!
ReplyDeleteYour living room looks so cozy and inviting, with its sunny yellow color, and a warm crackling fire burning.
Perfect for the cold winter days, and long winter nights :)
Have a sweet day, and stay warm .
~K.
Hi Rue! Oh, your first snow is so lovely and exciting! Poor little Bubba. He's just a little spoiled and that's the only way to have a pet - spoil their tiny socks, or in Bubba's case, his tiny sweater off! :) Thanks for popping in to see me. Do you remember many years ago when you added some scrapbook paper to the back of oen of your hutches? Well you were my inspiration and I did the same thing! I eventually painted my little kitchen hutch but you started my primping with it! ;)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Yes I do! That's so sweet of you to remember, Shelia. It seems life a lifetime ago.
Deletelove to you
Oh you had snow! And its so very pretty!!!

ReplyDeleteRue ... these photo's are just glorious to look at, so pretty.
ReplyDeleteYour house looks so cozy - love it.
Keep warm Bubba
All the best Jan
It is sooo pretty and the fire looks cozy. I am not at all ready for snow though! The short days and cold weather make me sad.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely, Rue! Here in Montreal we haven't gotten our first snow yet but we are supposed to get rain tomorrow and Friday. Your photos are so beautiful and heartwarming, thank you so much for sharing. :)

ReplyDeleteWow....your photos are just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI am not looking forward to SNOW...it is pretty, tho...just way too cold for me.:)
xo
I hope you get snow soon, if that's what you want. And yes, I agree. It always amazes me with it's beauty.

We had our first snow today! I was excited to see it! It was long overdo for the Front Range of Colorado.. It came during the night so I missed seeing it fall, but for a few hours everything was covered with a beautiful white mantel of snow until the sun melted quite a bit away.
ReplyDeleteGood morning Rue, What a lovely sight. Your photos are so pretty. We get very little snow in the Southern mountains where we live in Western Carolina. I, for one, get excited just like you when snow falls. Even thought it means we will not get down our mountain where we live. I love your snow post.
ReplyDeleteYes, my read hair is now gray. I am getting used to it now though. I decided to go gray a year ago. Yikes, not easy. Lol. Thank you for your sweet comment about it. I did get a good chuckle out of your comment.
Gotta go to town so I must say goodbye for now. I am so happy to hear from you as always.
Love, Jeanne
Good morning sweet Rue! Your pictures are gorgeous! My mother told me you guys got snow, and I thought how strange it was this early in the year, as you haven't really gotten a ton of snow in the past years! It does look beautiful from the inside, especially sitting by the warm fire! Down here, we got a lot of rain and I heard Scottsdale got a little snow! Stay warm! Ha, I love sweater season, poor Bubba! He is so darn cute, you just want to cuddle him! =) hugs, Christine
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are so beautiful. Hoping we get some snow in Georgia this year. Would sure make for a magical Christmas.
ReplyDeleteYour living room is as cozy as can be! And your sturdy little dog looks like he would like a pillow by the fireplace. I bet the air smelled so wonderful after the first snow. I enjoyed the subtlty of of all the lovely colors in the landscapes.
ReplyDeleteGinene
ACK! Where are you? Please, no where near NY! SNOW is a four letter word you know!
ReplyDeleteHaha! Bubba really works it, doesn't he? Your living room is lovely. xo
