I wonder where a lot of my friends have gone.
I've found a few and a few have found me, but not as many as I had hoped. I don't know if they're still out there and I can't find them or they gave up long ago.
I know some did, but what about the others?
I know some did, but what about the others?
I'm still looking, but it's hard, because when I erased my old blog the blogroll went with it.
On that note....
From what I can tell, the blogroll is 'out' for the most part, but I'm not a trend setter (obviously), nor am I a fan of change as far as most things go, so I have one anyway.
If you don't, that's fine, but how else do you let people know what blogs you enjoy?
I've always thought it was interesting to see what people read and also find new blogs that you've never seen before, but what do I know?
So....
My old friends,
If you happen to know of any other old friends that are still out there from the old days, please let me know. And if you're still in contact with the ones that left, please tell them I miss them.
I really do.
And....
My new friends,
If you have any favorites, please let me know about those too. It's nice to discover lovely blogs :)
Some of the old friends that I contacted haven't answered me back.
Are they mad at me?
I know I left suddenly with a large rant that didn't make any sense at the time, but I didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings.
I was hurt myself.
I'm truly sorry for that and I wish I could take it back.
Anyway,
I'll keep searching and hopefully one day find everyone that's still around.
In the meantime,
thank you to those that are still here and are willing to come with me on this new journey.
It truly means a lot.
xo,
rue
RUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry for shouting but I am thrilled to pieces that you are back and blogging!!!! I always enjoyed spending time "with you"! I am going to follow you through Bloglovin, so I don't miss a single post. I LOVE your new home. It is so charming. Since you stopped your PBJ blog, I have moved a few times as well. In fact, my home is back on the market and we are hoping to build a house next. Thanks for visiting me and letting me know you were back. I hope you are doing fabulous!
ReplyDeletexo
Penny
HA! I'm thrilled you remember me ;) Thank you about the home. I truly love it. Far more than I've loved any other. I think it suits me more.
DeleteI can't believe you moved more than once since I was blogging! How time flies.... but, I'm glad you're building something you'll love.
I am doing fabulous and I hope you are too :)
xoxo
I've been here all along, so I can catch you up if I know which blogs were around then. When did you leave? Was it 2011? I never knew what happened. I know those of us that know and love you would like for you to catch us up on your life while you've been gone. I read all of your posts and didn't garner much. But then maybe you want to keep it that way. As for those you've contacted who haven't contacted you back, they probably changed email addresses. That happens all the time. People forget, I know I have, about what was going on back then. So glad you're back! I want to know what led you to that sweet house.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Gosh, Brenda... I think I left sometime around 2010. I know I've been living here in Arizona since 2011.
DeleteWhat happened.... it was a lot like what happened to you. One day I just found out that he had been lying and it was over. Let me just say that your post about that moment brought tears to my eyes and I understood. I'm so sorry. No one should have to feel that way. Ever.
Anyway, my son, Alex is still in the Army and Annie is now 19 and working at a local shop. Right now I'm extremely happy, but I've learned over the years that it can be taken away in a moments notice. I live in the moment and hope for the best which is all anyone can do, right?
I'll share how I found this house at some point. I never thought about it, but I probably should. Thank you for the idea :)
xoxo
My sidebar was getting unwieldy so I stopped using the blogroll, and I'm sorry I did. Google Friend Connect was ramping up at that time, but it was very hard to keep track--not a good way to know when friends had published a new post. Now, I like Blogloving for keeping up (that's how I saw your most recent post tonight). I'd love for you to link up to Foodie Friday and Everything Else link party--you may see old friends and find new blogs you love. At any rate, I'm so glad you're blogging again. I missed you! The picture of Bubba is priceless! He has the most expressive face.
ReplyDeleteI just found blogloving, so maybe I'll use it. Right now, I'm just clicking on my sidebar.
DeleteIf I do something foodie, I'll be happy to link up. I just haven't gotten that far along on here yet lol
Bubba was just looking out the window that day and I took the pictures, which somehow inspired this post. My mind works oddly I guess ;)
I missed you too, my friend :)
Great! I will look forward to your recipes. I loved them on PBJL. I still roast garlic using your method. BTW, are you on Pinterest?
DeleteI have a pinterest, but I'm rarely on it anymore and it mostly has historical clothing on it. I'm thinking of making a new one, but I haven't gotten around to it. We'll see :)
DeleteI followed you by Bloglovin. Just now, I saw you had the Google Connect so I clicked that. I use Bloglovin, but I also have a roll. Bloglovin works pretty well, but it is not 100%. It seems some feeds seem slower to arrive, and every now and then I realize someone's is broken, so I let them know. xoox Thank you for putting me on your roll; I added you as well. Your cottage is beautiful. I've gathered now that you are in Arizona, but what's so weird is that I saw the house photo and thought it looked like AZ by a few of the trees, but dismissed it, because I forgot about the colder areas of Az. Your cottage looks similar to a couple of historic homes that are in the Story and Coronado of the PhX area (very few exist). Maybe they had the same builder or architect. I'm in Az but in the desert. xoox
ReplyDeleteI just discovered bloglovin, so we'll see if that works out for me :)
DeleteThank you for adding me too! Yes, I'm in Northern Arizona. My family lives down in your area. My house was built for a woman in the 1930s that went to school in California and must have fallen in love with the Storybook cottages out there. It's the only one that looks like it in this area. I found the book of plans it was in by accident and I'll probably do a post about it at some point.
xo
Hi ! I remember your blog way back when.. I think you're the "gal" that I shared my experience with Jiminy Cricket at Disney World. You said that your Mom had a similar experience. Right ?
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about your troubles but am glad you're happy now..
I love the pictures of Christmas in your new/old home. Bubba is a sweetheart !
Take care.
Charlotte in Virginia
Yes! That's me! I remember you too. My mom had the Winnie the Pooh problem lol
DeleteThank you :)
rue
I don't remember what your old blog was called, but, no matter. You have a new blog and it's a new day, so start from here. I read some of the other comments. My daughter lives in AZ and I did long ago. Lived in Sierra Vista. Much warmer than Indiana! I will be a new reader of this blog. Your little dog is adorable! Hope you are having a nice, warm weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Deb
Thank you so much! :)
DeleteI remember you, at least I think I do. Your blog was Rue's PB and Jelly Life, right? You know, there is someone out there who hijacked that blog name and now post rhetoric on it. I never click on it because I am afraid of spam. I think it even comes up on my blog roll reader list.
ReplyDeleteKim at Daisy Cottage, our sweet Kim, now has a blog called Imagery By Kimberly. You may remember some on my blog roll list.
I do hope your life is better now. Like Brenda said, we didn't know where you went. I have thought about you over the years.
Big hugs and enjoy your new journey!
Hi Becky :)
DeleteYes, that was me. I know someone took the name of my blog, because I was curious and clicked on it on someone's sidebar. I'm not sure how they decided on that name since it's a political blog, but whatever lol
I knew all about Kim's blog change. I never stopped reading hers or yours.
Yes, my life is a lot better now. It's been a long road, but it made me a stronger person.
Big hugs to you too!!
xoxo
Mentioned you in my blog today. In fact it focuses on how we once were as bloggers. Maybe drive some traffic your way, and let others who knew you know you're back. Are you going to list your email? I'd like to email you sometime.
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Yes I know you did! And yes it did! LOL You have no idea how much I appreciate it. I'm worried I won't be able to answer everyone back right away, because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings, but I'll do it as quick as I can :)
DeleteMy email is heatherrue1929@gmail.com and it's only for the blogging stuff, so I'll be able to get to anything that comes in as soon as I can and it won't be mixed in with anything else.
Thank you again, my friend :)
xoxo
Visiting today from Brenda of Cozy Little House. Welcome back Rue. Your kitchen photos tell such a wonderful story. Looking forward to seeing reno pictures if you are sharing them. I have scads of wonderful bloggers listed on my blog roll. I notice that you have many that I love to read on yours. Have you met Claudia from Mockingbird Hill, another online friend.
ReplyDeleteJoy
Thank you so much, Joy!
DeleteI think I remember Claudia. It's hard because everyone changed the way everything looked from 4 years ago, but it's coming back slowly :)
I don't know if you remember me, Rue, but I wrote Beach Bungalow and pretty much did the same thing you did. I deleted it in frustration. But I'm back now with a new blog, just like you are. Anyway, welcome back. I'm a new reader and I have a blog roll, lol!

I remember you, Sue! Of course I'll come by to see your new blog. I'm going to try and visit everyone that commented, as well, but I think it's going to take awhile lol
DeleteGood to hear from you again!

Hello, I have just found your blog, I have a blog if you want to visit in your looking for new bloggy friends - no blog roll though! I have been blogging since summer 2013, so I don't know how it was, but I have found lots of lovely friends and blogs out there that are all very real and very nice, so I hope that you can make new bloggy friends, even if you don't manage to catch up with all of your old ones. Your home is lovely and so personal which is very nice to see. My blog is about crafting and my home and all things homey! I hope that you enjoy your new blogging life. I will be following you on Bloglovin, which is where a lot of people follow me and where I do all my following, so I won't show up on your GFC, you might want to look for some of your old friends on Bloglovin as you can search by their blog name and their name if they are on their by that. Looking forward to reading more from you! Amy xx
ReplyDeleteHi Amy :)
DeleteIt's always nice to meet new friends. That's what this is all about, isn't it? ;) You're blog sounds lovely and I'll be over soon.
Thank you for dropping by :)
rue
I have a link on my right sidebar titled Blogs to Peruse. You are welcome to click on it to find some of my favs, but I confess I am not great at keeping up the list.
ReplyDeleteThank you Beverly!

Hi,I've just come over from Brenda's Cozy Little House to say a big hello from hopefully a new blog friend. I have a blog roll to show some of my favourites and to share with others, isn't that what it's all about? Sharing :-) I am looking forward to reading more of your new journey. Have a wonderful weekend. Chel x
ReplyDeleteThank you Chel! I'll be over as soon as I can and yes, that's what it should be all about... sharing :)
DeleteHello, had to come and visit after reading Brenda's post at Cozy Little House. You may have misplaced some old blog friends but I'm sure you will have more new blog friends than you know what to do with! My head is spinning after looking at page after page here of your pretty rooms and your house's exterior. Charming! Is that a thatched roof?
ReplyDeleteI do have a blogroll, not being one of the humongous bloggers! And I just added your blog to it because I don't want to miss any more posts. Your kitchen is a dream. Thank you for keeping the charm, for restoring much of it, not renovating. Nothing makes me grind my teeth more than watching House Hunters and having some couple walk in a beautiful vintage kitchen and say, "We'll have to gut this." Well, and those who want a house in Italy with all the local flavor but say, "The kitchen's not as big as our kitchen in America."
I never knew you before, Rue, but am glad to know you now,
Dewena
Hi Dewena :)
DeleteYes, I'm going to be a very busy girl now lol
My roof is actually a wood shingle with a design in it. You'll see them a lot in places like Carmel, California, but I haven't seen any others here in my area.
You're preaching to the choir about remuddling, as I like to call it, and HGTV. I still watch it, but I think it's because it's like watching a traffic accident most of the time lol
Nice to meet you too and thank you!
rue
Welcome back Rue. I was a follower of your other blog and really missed you. I am on a blog break, but when I heard you are back I had to come and join you new blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Betty! I hope you decide to start blogging again soon :)
Deletexo
Hi Rue - I don't know you from before, but it's lovely to meet you! I've not got my behind into gear on my blog since Christmas, but do pop over for a look see at my list of favourite blogs. It's quite an eclectic assortment, but I am a real butterfly, interested in all sorts of crafty-ness. Wecome back and hugs xx
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you, Chrysalis!
DeleteThank you and hugs back :)
Welcome back Rue, loved reading your blog and am so glad you are back. I am still in my same house and still love it's cozyness! Bought it after my military husband of 26 years decided he wanted someone else. Love my life now!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your husband, Sharri, but I'm glad you're happier now. It's amazing what time does to heal.
DeleteThank you!
Oh my goodness, I am SO happy to see your new blog! I read about it on Brenda's, Cozy Little House. I used to read your PB&J blog, faithfully, and was sad when you left. I've checked back, several times over the years, in hopes that you had started your blog back up. You are one of the few I always felt like I could drop in and sit and have a cup of coffee with you. I loved your decorating (and recipes) your home was always so welcoming. I am sorry to hear your life took an unexpected turn, I hope things are better for you now than they ever were. I can't believe your "little Annie" is now 19! Where does the time go? Good to hear that Alex is still in the Army. Please pass along my thanks for his service. I will close this, now, so I can go read all of the rest of your posts. Welcome back!!
ReplyDeleteHi Deb! I'm glad you found me again :)
DeleteTime definitely moves quickly, especially at my age lol And yes, life is much better now :)
Thank you!
RUE!!!!! I just can't believe it! I was at Brenda's Cozy Little House and she said you were back! Oh, how I've missed you and have wondered about you often. I have even typed in Rue's PBJ Life and a blog came up but it's been taken over by someone strange. Anyway, I hope you remember me. So much has changed and you're right, blogging isn't what it used to be. Many have left, many are trying to become famous. Me? I'm still just me and enjoying blogging still although so much has changed...my dear little mother passed away, I have two little grandchildren now, hubby has retired, we moved to upstate New York to be close to the babies and sadly my little dog, Chloe Dawn, passed away a couple of weeks ago. There's still a bunch of us oldies out here still. I've been through all of your posts and I adore your precious little cottage and true to Rue - it's just perfect for you. I have always enjoyed your decorating style and I am looking forward to catching up with you.
ReplyDeleteYou're always a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Sheila!! Great to hear from you!! Of course I remember :)
DeleteI'm so sorry to hear about your mom and little Chloe Dawn....
Congratulations on your new grand babies though! That's wonderful news :)
I look forward to catching up with you too.
xoxo
Hi Rue! I came to visit from Brenda and I must say I like your style. You are my kind of blogger! I hope you will drop by my blog and learn a little about my crazy life. I'm a Grandma to one and one on the way. I live in a small duplex and I love to shop in the thrifts. I'm going to be reading your blog from the beginning just to get to know you!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Linda
Hi Linda! Nice to meet you :)
DeleteI'll definitely come by for a visit, as soon as I can.
hugs back :)
Hi Rue, I, too came over from Brenda's blog! I remember reading your blog when you were last here. Who can forget a blog named Rue's Peanut Butter & Jelly Life? Glad to see you've returned. I've had a few blogs and finally settled on Jan's Place and it began on New Year's Eve/Day 2015. I do have a Blog Roll and wouldn't get rid of it for anything! And I love looking at other blog rolls for new friends and blogs to read. I'm adding you to my Blog Roll, so I can continue to stop by!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Jan ♥
Hi Jan!
DeleteI guess that name would be hard to forget LOL Glad to see you're still here :)
Thank you!
rue
Hi Rue!!!! I'm so glad you are back to blogging, I sure have missed your blog. I'm so glad I read about your new one on Cozy Little House. I'm really looking forward to all of your new posts.:)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Dana
Hi Dana! Good to hear from you :)

So happy Brenda posted about your new blog name. Prayers your life is full of peace. So happy we all can see your new blog so enjoyed your old blog and have even Googled the old name. So welcome and do keep writing and slowly all will be back in your blog roll :)
ReplyDeleteHi Minnie and thank you!
Deletexo
Rue, so glad to find your new blog. I love blogrolls, too, and my favorite go to blogs all have them. I love color and hardly anything is white in my house (except the tile floor and we're trying to cover all that with rugs) and I hope you'll come visit me at Adventures in Thrifting some day. You did a fantastic job on your kitchen. It is amazing!
ReplyDeleteHi Michele :)
DeleteHardly anything is white.... that's funny! Obviously I'm a fan of color too ;)
I'll be over for a visit as soon as I can.
xo
Like so many others, I'm stopping by from Brenda's. Any friend of her's is a friend of mine.
ReplyDeleteFrom what I can gather, you will soon have more blog buds then you know what to do with. As for blog rolls, I'm on wordpress so I don't have one. I used to have a button that if you clicked on it would take you to a page of blogs I follow. I noticed no one ever did that so I got rid of it. Most of the blogs I follow can be found in my comments. :) With very few exceptions, I don't follow anyone who doesn't reciprocate in some way.
Happy to meet you Rue!
I understand, not everyone can have a blogroll :)
DeleteI'll definitely be by for a visit soon!
Nice to meet you too, Doreen :)
I'm stopping in from Brenda's blog also. Almost all of my regulars, my friends, are found among my comments. I have so enjoyed getting to know other bloggers. I do know what you mean about some missing. Sometimes I go to visit other bloggers and find out that they've taken down their blog.
ReplyDeleteNice to meet you, Rue. Welcome back to blogland.
Thank you so much! Nice to meet you too :)
DeleteHi Ru, How are you. I have missed you and stopping by from Brenda's blog post and her link to you. You may not recognize me from the name as I made a name change to my blog a couple years ago but still blog the same as I did in an old fashion way. So great to see you and look forward to visiting again.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogging.
Hugs
Hi Celestina! I do remember you! Good to hear from you :)

Hello,
ReplyDeleteI think I found your old blog roll on the Internet Archives Way Back Machine. You can find it here: Rue's Peanut Butter and Jelly Life
I will be back to visit with you. Good luck!
I also found two more links that might have some of your blog roll that you are looking for: Here and here.
DeleteLiz
Wow Liz! You're a sleuth! I'm thrilled you found them. Although that sweet army husband business almost made me throw up a little, even though I thought it at the time LOL
DeleteThank you so much!!
By the way, I tried to make a comment on your blog, but couldn't. I wish I knew how to....
DeleteI'll be following you on Bloglovin' like our friend Penny. I' so glad you're back and so thankful you got in touch with me!
ReplyDeleteCatherine! I'm so glad you remember me :D You never know!
Deletexoxo
Hi Rue! I discovered your blog via Cozy Little House and have been enjoying reading a few of your posts....love your kitchen!!! I love your personal style as that is the type of blogger I am. I have been blogging for two years and I have found the blogs I enjoy the most are the ones about the person and their normal life. The popularity contest is not for me...lol! Anywho, I found most of my favorites through blog rolls because if I like that person and her style, then surely the blogs she reads would be similar. I'll be adding yours to my blog roll too since I really enjoyed my visit here. Stop over for a visit if you would like....:)
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Vicky
Hi Vicky! The popularity contest has never been for me either lol
DeleteThank you so much :) I'll be over to visit as soon as I can.
xo
Welcome back, Rue. I don't think we ever got to know each other through blogging, but I've followed Brenda (Cozy Little House) for as long as I've been around and when she mentioned you in a recent post, I came over to welcome you back.
ReplyDeleteLife runs in seasons and none of them lasts forever, so maybe this is another season of blogging for you. Welcome.
Thank you so much, Dayle!
DeleteWelcome back, sooooo happy to see you here. Loved your old blog and RMS . I loved seeing your beautiful house again. I'm looking forward to following along on your new journey.....thanks for sharing Pat H 9405018 RMS
ReplyDeleteHi Pat!! I remember you :)
DeleteThank you! xo
Hey Rue! Remember me? Judy from Gracious Southern Living....I'm so glad I found that you were "back" from Brenda over at Cozy Little House. I was sad when you stopped blogging but so happy to find you again...you're going back on my blog roll....yes, I still have mine although some folks might think they are "out"....Brenda has a very eloquent post up today about the way things used to be in the blog world....so many of those that consider themselves "big girls in the blog world" or "rockstars" as one so-called "big" blogger uses wayyy to much (after all we're not in middle school and that word really shouldn't be used by grown women to describe their friends over and over) will have their 15 minutes of fame and then what? I think many of them will be in shock once the blog clicks and $$ stop rolling in....I hope they have a financial cushion to fall back on. Okay, rant over...I just wanted to come back and say "hi and welcome back"
ReplyDeleteYes, Judy! I remember you!! Good to hear from you :D
DeleteI agree, but some never leave middle school in their minds. To each their own ;)
Glad you found me again and thank you!!
xoxo
Hi, Rue! I don't remember your old blog, but I'm another that is visiting from Brenda's blog post that mentioned you. Boy, are you ever going to have the blog traffic now, lol! I can't wait to look through your blog and get to know you better. I'm going to be following you and also adding your blog to my blogroll. (Yes, I have one!) I hope that when you have a chance (I know you will be overwhelmed for awhile), you will pop over to my blog and pay me a visit, as well. Welcome back!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's definitely going to take some time to get to everyone! LOL
DeleteThank you for stopping by and I'll return the favor as soon as I can :)
Hi Rue, I don't remember you old blog too, think it ended before I began. But I can relate to what you said in a way, I blogged from 2011 to 2013, and got sick, very sick, I was gone for a whole year, and I was so disappointed that so many blogs I though were my friends and left me in the dust so to speak. It was very difficult and painful for me. I never questioned they wouldn't be there when I got back, some got really big and I guess I wasn't in their "class" anymore. I found you through Brenda, and you sound/seem like some one I would relate to. I'm on WordPress and don't know how to do a blog roll? and also can't follow on GFC because I'm not on blogger so I have added you to my RSS fee. So now you have a new friend, who'll accept you any old way! PS found you from Brenda!
ReplyDeleteHi Cathy :)
DeleteI hope you're much better now, but I'm sorry you were sick and they didn't stick around. That's not a nice thing to do.
I'll definitely be popping in for a visit, as soon as I can :)
Thank you!
Welcome back Rue. I read you before I started blogging - just had my 3rd year bloggaversary.
ReplyDeleteNot sure you'd like my house - I have been "allergic" to color in my universe since waaaaaaaaaaay before "going neutral" had a term.
I am glad you are back, and hope you find old friends. Surely you will.
And if you ever feel like popping over to my nest, I'd be delighted and then some.
Have fun with this new blog - and don't take it too seriously. And try not to expect many comments - read and dash is the new norm. Sad but true.
PS I am your newest follower, at least for this moment. : - )
DeleteHi Michele! I love all kinds of homes, whether they have color or not. It's not that I don't like homes that are neutral or white. I just like homes that are a reflection of the people that live there and if that's what you love then that's all that matters :)
DeleteI'll be happy to visit you as soon as I get a chance.
Thank you!
Rue...I did follow you way back, and I was heart broken when you decided to end your blog. I do remember you were having issues with someone who you personally knew and they were interfering with your blog somehow. I know it was very upsetting to you at the time. I hope this time around will be better. I blog mainly to document my life. The ladies I've met in blogging are like close friends. I have met many of them in person. In spite of so many bloggers getting into the Big Time, with magazine features and book offers, that's a reality now. Huge publishers are grabbing bloggers to fill their pages, it's cheaper than featuring a successful designer. Martha Stewart is in a class by herself now. Those ladies have worked hard and it's a full time gig for them. Sadly, they don't have time to sit and read and Pin ideas and send comments and emails back and forth with bloggers they have become life long friends with. But maybe that's not what they wanted in the first place.
ReplyDeleteDo what is fun for you. Be yourself and stay true to yourself, as you did way back then. Take it all with a grain of salt.
Welcome back! Feel free to pop in! :)
Jane x
Hi Jane! I'm so happy you found me :)
DeleteI don't know how to be anyone, but myself, so that's easy enough lol
I'll be by as soon as I can.
xo
Oh Rue. Your precious handmade birdhouse that you made for me and Daisy Cottage years and years ago is right here beside me. I am looking at her now. She is treasured. And will be forever. As are your notes; as are your other gifts sent along the way in the space and time that we shared.... And as are YOU.... in heart and spirit. I loved you then. I love you now. And I will love you tomorrow and ever more.
ReplyDeleteKim
(((Kim))) You shouldn't make me cry this early in the morning...
DeleteI love you too, my dear friend. I love you too.
rue
I am so excited and happy to see you blogging again, I missed reading your posts on your old blog. I understand completely how life brings unexpected changes and sometimes we need to break away so your respite was certainly something you needed at the time. I too had some big life events, some heartbreaking that caused me to stop writing my own posts. I have thought about beginning again but things in blog land have changed a bit, definitely more business oriented. Again I am thrilled to have found my way back here and look forward to visiting again!
ReplyDeleteHello again Diva!
DeleteI'm sorry you had heartbreak too. I'm hope things are better now and that one day, you'll come back to blogging. Even if you don't, it's good to hear from you :)
Thank you xo
I just discovered your blog and I am THRILLED! I love blogs like yours, just cozy everyday news with a little décor and food and such thrown in. I had to go back and read all the past posts and can't wait to see what you share next!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Sue! That's very sweet of you to say :)
DeleteHi Rue. I know you won't remember me (and that's ok, lol) but I used to read your blog and occasionally comment. I had a blog for awhile but my life was so boring, I just couldn't come up with interesting things to write about. I remember your blog and really enjoyed seeing your beautiful home. I don't blog anymore, but I still enjoy reading about everyone else. I am on facebook and a lot of the gals I used to blog with are on there too. Pat Howe let us know about your new blog, so I wanted to pop in and say hi. Don't remember if you blogged with Nikki (she had the dogs Crumpet and Ozzie) but she is on facebook and so is Teri, who had a blog from Iowa. My life has been a mess the past 4 years...went through a divorce, and breast cancer, but I am doing okay now. I live with my son and his family in Las Vegas.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, Ginger.... I'm so sorry to hear about all that you went through. I'm glad you're doing better now.
DeleteI'm glad you came by to visit me and you're always welcome :)
xoxo
I have missed you so much. You have no idea how thrilled I am that you are back
ReplyDeleteXo, Stacy
Awww.... thank you, Stacy! It's good to be back :)
DeleteI'm glad to see you back! I used to read your old blog. So glad Brenda put a link up for your new one. I am sorry that things got so rough there for you for awhile but am glad to "hear" that you are getting stronger and happier now. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Debbie! I'm definitely much happier now :)
DeleteHi Rue! I came across your name on a few blogs and was curious about you and I was happy to see you are the Rue I knew from years ago on your PB&J blog! Back in those days there were so few blogs and yours was so lovely. I was sorry when you went private. Hopefully you will remember me! I lived in Brooklyn, NY then but two years ago moved to the Denver area of Colorado so that I could live close to grandchildren. Life is interesting and fun here in the west, but I'll never lose my Brooklyn accent --lol!
ReplyDeletePat!!!!! Good to hear from you!! Of course, I remember you :D
ReplyDeleteYou're right.... there wasn't that many of us back then. I miss the old days, but I'm doing my best to find my corner of all this craziness lol
I can't believe you left Brooklyn, but I understand why. You must feel like I did, when I moved from California to Virginia. Talk about a fish out of water lol
Anyway, I'm so glad you found me!
xo
Yes, Rue--I'm a fish out of water who is now living at 6,000 feet altitude! Everyday is a new adventure and I love living close to my grandchildren. I frequently babysit my two year old granddaughter during the day when my daughter and son-in-law are at work. My husband retired last year, so it's easier with the two of us home. So glad you are blogging again. I love your new house!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Pat! I'm glad to be back too :)
