Summer road trips

This is a bit of a catch up post, but here's a little look at what I've been up to.

At least the fun part ;)


We visited the Rooster Cogburn Ostrich Ranch...























Dug for bottles and artifacts...


Hit the backroads to see abandoned buildings...








sad old houses...


cute cows...




and a big ol' bull along the way.

    Oh, I love ostriches. The photographs you took are so beautiful. It looks like you two had a wonderful time. The birds and animals are so gorgeous. You could really work some magic on that old house...

    This looks like a fun adventure, Rue. I LOVE visiting zoos and sanctuaries. You both look so cute and of course, the ostriches melt my heart. Have you ever seen a llama? OMG! I'd take one home ig hubby let me.

    Looks like you have been having lots of fun this Summer. :) That just makes me so happy for you. My heart ached for that old house. I just wanted to go fix it up and restore life to it once more.

    That is an adorable dress! I know - not the point of the post :-) What fun. I love old houses. It would be so much fun to win the lottery and go around restoring them. There must be so many memories within those walls.

    I recognize Picacho Peak in the background and assumed this must be the place along Interstate 10 that we used to pass by on our trips from Tempe down to Tucson to visit family. Never did stop to see the ostriches, but it looks like a fun way to spend a morning. xo

    What fun day! Was that in Picacho? We used to stop there every time we headed down to Tucson. The goats are so cute...and that calf is adorable. Not sure of the big one lying down, though!

    Loved it! My favorite photo is the one of you with your pony tail out straight...that pretty much captures the fun of this post. No worries about catching up. Today I am only ranting about the photo host who is holding us all captive for ransom. Spare yourself! =D

    This is just the kind of trips Mr. Sweet and I took most of our married life...our kids loved seeing this kind of thing. I am so so sad Mr. Sweet and I can't ever do this again.
