It's been a hot and busy summer...
of baking...
growing a pot of peppers, tomatoes and basil...
surprises that popped up...
wildlife...
and working on the potting shed.
Of dogs acting goofy...
or napping...
or posing...
And when it's too hot we're working on this house too.
Details soon ;)
I hope you're enjoying your summer and if you're not, remember that autumn is right around the corner :)

It's a wonderful life 💝💝💝
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you are doing the things you love. Nice to see you post. You are missed when gone.
ReplyDeleteCutie~patootie dogs, you have there! Full of personality, I can see.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you've not been letting any moss grow on your feet; keeping busier than a one legged man in a bum kickin' contest!!
Thanks for the update. Glad to see you!
Smiles :)

So good to hear a little update from you, Rue! I love your blog posts and have really missed them. And you. xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt is good to have an update from you! What cutue doggie's and it looks like your enjoying summer! Don't work to hard...
ReplyDeleteVery intrigued with the dollhouse! It looks like you are having a very busy summer in spite of the heat. It sounds like you are doing well and are happy. And that is most important.
ReplyDeleteYou've been busy, looking forward to see more. Hot summer though.
ReplyDeleteJoy
So glad to see a post from you and glad you caught us up on what you've been up to in your neck of the woods! It's been a hot summer here as well, and will remain so for months yet here. It's ok---I'm enjoying this summer very much and find ways to avoid the heat of the day. I just love your floor, is that in the kitchen i think I remember? Your doggies are so cute and how neat that sunflower just popped up and grew!!
ReplyDeleteReady for this heat to be done, and the cooler Autumn to arrive.
ReplyDeleteHi Rue! Yes, it's been a whirlwind and busy summer....for me with my grand, home home improvement projects that are taking forever to finish, and going back to work full time. Also just got back from Alasaka cruise....with perfect weather....came home to miserably hot and humid yucky weather here.
ReplyDeleteStill not able to figure out my new pc and so I haven't been blogging. One of these days when my husband's home I need some help - none of my pics I am trying to transfer over are working like they used to. I am at a loss until then.
Big hugs. Stay cool and happy and give your sweet poochies some pets from me. They're so precious.
♥
Oh, I love your kitchen. It's spectacular. I want to do something like that with mine. It's from the twenties, and I'd like to keep the feel, but fix the cabinets and drawers. You have such excellent taste. Looks like you are very busy and working hard on your lovely home. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI've missed catching up with you, Rue!! Good to hear from you, hope all is well in your world!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteSo good to see this post from you! I've missed you and you crossed my mind the last day or two and I wondered how you were doing. Now I know, you've been busy with life.
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting, it's always good to read about your life and projects.
Love & hugs ~ FlowerLady

I was just thinking about you and wondering if you were still blogging and okay, and here you are! Good to see a post from you! I am ready for cooler weather! This summer has been brutal! I thought you had a new home, had to look again and it is a doll house! Lol!
ReplyDeleteIt's funny, because you're not the only one! I put the paper and pencil in there, but few noticed ;)

Hi Rue,
ReplyDeleteLove to see you pop up in my email tonight with a new post. Love how your summer is going. Looks like lots of fun, good food and neat projects along with your fur baby crew in tow to help. Always love to see that original farmhouse sink and faucet. Swooning over that!
xoxo
Kris
Hi! Dogs look happy and that's what counts;). Miserable down here and I'm sure hot there too. Hope the monsoon rains didn't mess up the backyard. Busy with your projects and I love the sunflower and the krispie treat:).

I hope you've been enjoying the cooler weather down there. My mom and I were actually able to sit outside when I was down there a couple of weeks ago.

Nice to see you Rue. Sounds like a good summer, lots of projects going on there. But the dogs look relaxed! That dessert looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteHi Rue, I’m glad to hear from you! I was just looking at your blog a week ago wondering if I’d missed some posts. It’s been horribly hot everywhere and the Holy Fire is right down the road from us. I too can’t wait for autumn!
ReplyDeleteVery happy to hear from you....love your kitchen sink! You have been missed, enjoyed your pictures so much! Enjoying summer here mostly early mornings & late evenings...can't really say we enjoy the sizzling days.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your sweet words and I hope you're getting cooler weather now :)

I was just thinking about you this past week and thinking I should send you and email to see how you were doing. I'm seriously unorganized so it hadn't made it past the thinking part yet so I'm glad to see your post. Looks like you are having a busy summer. Ours goes between flying by and dragging at the same time - the hot and dry seems to never end, but school starts here next week. (not that I have a dog in that fight - just changes the traffic patterns)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your summer!
I love surprises that pop up, like volunteer sunflowers and a surprise post from Rue!
ReplyDeleteYou really should not make us go so long without pictures of the home we love so much, but it certainly does make us appreciate you so much when you're here again. Just seeing that you are working on the potting shed though makes me understand that you both have been busy with a wonderful project. I can't wait to see it when you get through with it. What a great building right in your back yard! Has it been used up to now as just a storage place for garden things? And that classy much smaller building in your last photo must be so much fun to work on--or is it all play?
So nice to visit you here, dear Rue,
Dewena
So glad to hear from you. Missed you and the puppers. It's nice to see you're keeping very busy and I hope we hear from you again, very soon.
ReplyDeleteThank you sweet friend :)

Life looks good, Rue! So glad you are enjoying it! Love your fun summer photos!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you are having a wonderful summer!
ReplyDeleteA busy summer you are having for sure. Potting shed is such a nice thing to have, wished I had one. That doll house is wonderful! The detail in the windows look like they can be raised and lowered. I cannot wait to see this when it is finished. Better yet, watching your progress as you go along would be a good to see. Love it!
ReplyDeletebetsy
I was just thinking about you! Glad to see you'e enjoying the summer with your brood. And what did you bake? I want some...xo
ReplyDeleteUsually hot and humid in TN but I have to say it has not been overly bad this yr. HOWEVER- Fall being my all time fave part of the yr I am so ready for it. Glad to see you are still among us and great to see a post.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see this post from you Rue, glad all is ok.
ReplyDeleteSo enjoyed seeing all of your photographs, and those peppers, tomatoes and basil all look good!
Take care
All the best Jan
Still very hot and humid here, but I'm thankful we don't have the horrific fires and floods you see on the news.
ReplyDeleteGood to see a post from you Rue. Glad to hear you have been busy and sound very happy. :-)
Take care
Jeannette
Thank you! I hope it's cooler now :)

Nope, not enjoying summer. Never do. I hate summer. The only thing I like about summer is summer fruit! I take comfort in the fact that autumn, as you said, is right around the corner! :D
ReplyDeleteenjoyed all your photos and so curious about the bottom one, the doll house
ReplyDeleteI haven't posted for so long, but was very happy to see you're still out there!
ReplyDeleteOh you got another house to reno! This will be fun to watch!
ReplyDeleteHey, Rue....I lost you for awhile but found you again today....my life has changed since I lost Mr. Sweet last summer...I pretty much quit living for an entire year after his death...I am doing better..at least breathing again.
ReplyDeleteSummer has flown by and I am not ready to give it up...here in West Texas, we are still having temps in the 90's....not near ready to bring out my fall stuff.
Looks like ya'll have been busy...hope things are good in your life...xo
Did you sell your house in Prescott in April? Just curious. I am in Flag.
ReplyDeleteHi Cate :)
DeleteNope, but a house next door to me sold. I think it was in January though.
xo
I'm a bit late with my comment, having just come back from a summer break. I'm glad to find you well and it looks to have been an enjoyable to summer for your and your welcoming, cozy cottage.
