This pink polkadot cup of hot coffee that I use every morning.
This wonderful brand of preserves I found recently, that turns into drinkware.
This vintage juicer.
This book.
This painting by my friend Catherine Holman.
And this little loveliness that I found on Etsy the other day.
Just thought I'd share ;)

The steam swirling off your coffee, marvelous! Best looking jelly jar I've ever seen, old juicers--an essential.
ReplyDeleteI love your kitchen!
..and why I adore you. :)

Do you remember Bama Jelly? I haven't seen it since I moved North (what a mistake that was), but it was always on the table in my grandparents house. Anyway, the jelly came in glassware and then, of course, you had a new glass when you finished the jelly! I have one glass left from my grandparents that went to my dad, then to me. I was so excited to see that jelly that I looked it up on line! There is more than jelly in their online store, so I will be placing an order soon! Then I'll have those cute glasses! It doesn't take much to make me happy! I have my grandparents juicer and I love it!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week!
Hugs,
Deb
No, I'm sorry to say, I've never heard of it, Deb. That's so neat that you have one left :)

The juicer....swoon.
ReplyDeleteOooh, at Christmas we had a preserve with peppers in it and it came in one of those jars. We poured it over cream cheese. :)
ReplyDeletewhat a delightful name, for a blog.... "An old-fashioned world" it evokes such lovely things, and such lovely thoughts...

Oh, Rue, my heart skipped a beat when I saw that you have my artwork hanging in your charming home. I drink from a red and white polka dot mug every day. Thanks for the link dear friend!
ReplyDeleteWell, it is one of my favorites :)
DeleteYou're welcome!

Sweet treasures one and all.
ReplyDeleteI have a juicer exactly like that only in Jadeite, and it still works perfectly!
Thanks for the fun post. Have a wonderful day! :)
Pink polka dots are smile makers (and pretty, too). Love your scales.I have a green Depression glass juicer that I treasure--I've never seen a measuring cup. What a find. I haven't seen that brand of jelly, but I'll look. The jars are wonderfully thick-bottomed and attractive.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful vintage scale! I am tempted by so many vintage things on ETSY, especially teacups :)
ReplyDeleteOh the scale is wonderful
ReplyDeleteI hardly ever look on ebay
since I am an etsy person
I can see why these things are some of your favorites! I'm especially drawn to the coffee mug and the preserves (not only the preserves themselves, but love the glass jar).
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! I love to read tidbits about other blogger's lives.
