Some weekly random

A new month on the calendar.

Thank goodness Fall will be here soon!

Birdies in the birdbath.

I won another giveaway!

This time courtesy of my dear friend, Diane over at Pepper Medley.

Maybe I should look into playing the lottery ;)

I bought these beautiful heart ornaments, that sweet Stephanie made, from her Etsy shop.

Stephanie included that darling cloth coffee cup, as a thank you.

She blogs over at The Enchanting Rose as well :)

And I also bought a painting from my beautiful friend, Kim.

You can't tell in the picture, but the water sparkles :)

Kim started painting birds and landscapes for her dollhouse not too long ago, and with the encouragement from her readers, has started selling life size ones on her Etsy shop, so of course I had to get one.

It was really hard to choose!

She's a fantastic photographer, as well and sells cards with the images she captures, from her visits to a nearby lake. Those are also found in her Etsy shop.

You can also find Kim on her blog Imagery by Kimberly, which most of you already know ;)

And lastly...

Crab dinner at my mom's house.

And a sunset the same night.

Did you enjoy your weekend too?

  8. Rue, I used to have crab all the time when my brother-in-laws were fishermen in Alaska. I hope your dinner at your mom's was good. There's nothing like Kim's pictures - they are filled with grace and beauty and peace. I have a couple of her cards as well. And Stephanie's creations are always made with love. It's so fun to get goodies in the mail, and these gifts are very nice.

    Have a splendid week, Rue.

  10. No, no, no, I'm not ready for fall! Our summers are so short up north that I relish each and every day of summer. Today it's so chilly we had to close all the windows!

You won some lovely prizes! And the hearts and painting are special treasures from special friends.

Thank you so much for leaving a comment. It means so much to me that you took the time and I read each and every one. If you don't have a blog, look for a response under your comment. I try to get to them within a few days :)

For some reason, the comment box doesn't always show up, so if you want to leave a comment, replying to someone else's comment seems to work. Also, I've had to switch from safari to chrome in order to comment on blogger, so that might be the issue. If not, you can always reach me via email, located on my side bar. Thank you!
