A new friend

Normally I would post a recipe that I made for Foodie Friday, but this week, I thought I would introduce you to a new friend of mine that is an actual cook.

I mean, I can read a recipe like nobody's business, sometimes change things up to suit my tastes and then also, once in a great while, come up with my own, but I'm no chef.

On the other hand, my friend Jessica over at Oregon Transplant, is an amazing cook.

How can you not love a woman that posted 25 delicious cookie recipes?

Exactly!

She spends hours in her kitchen coming up with brilliant concoctions to feed her husband and share with Blogland.

Not only that, but she's funny, sweet, beautiful, and be still my heart... has two Bubba's!

Please go say "Hi"

I think you'll love her :)

PS
I hope you don't mind that I stole this picture of you Jessica, but it was so cute, I had to ;)

  1. I do not need a friend who shares cookie recipes! I would just want to try them all.

Actually, what I have taken to doing when I bake is to share them with the neighbors. I get the pleasure of baking, I save enough for us to get a little sugar fix and the neighbors like them. Well, some of them are turning me away and telling me to stop baking because they like eating the cookies too much!

Why are all the good things bad for us?

I am headed over to check out Jessica's blog.

    1. LOL You're better than me! I won't give any of my cookies away... they're mine, darn it! Which is why I haven't made any lately ;)

  2. I'll be heading over to check out Jessica's blog - those cookies look so good! Like Carol of Art and Sand said above, I share when I bake cookies otherwise I'd eat them all! I send some to Brian's work or give to friends or bring them to my son when I visit him at school. Sometimes I put them in the freezer, too. :-)

  3. Thanks for sharing this blog. I was in the market for a new casserole recipe and I found one there. I will definitely be back to visit her again when I have a bit more time. For now...it's off to bed!

    Blessings!

  8. Thank you so much Rue! You are so sweet to feature me, made my day :) My weekend! I have to tell you, we are sitting here with 16 inches of snow, and the internet has gotten wonky and super slow with all the snow. I was noticing a bump in traffic to my site, and it appeared that it was coming from your blog but I couldn't get the pages to load. It was driving me nuts! But I finally made it here, and as I said, made my day! I hope you have a great weekend Rue!

  9. I am no chef, as a matter of fact, I would rather scrub a toilet than make dinner...BUT baking is a different story! I am a total sweets addict, so I try not to bake too much or I tend to eat my goodies in place of meals.

Ok, I've got my tea, now the really hard thing is to choose which cookie to make, they all make my mouthwater!

Thank you so much for leaving a comment. It means so much to me that you took the time and I read each and every one. If you don't have a blog, look for a response under your comment. I try to get to them within a few days :)

For some reason, the comment box doesn't always show up, so if you want to leave a comment, replying to someone else's comment seems to work. Also, I've had to switch from safari to chrome in order to comment on blogger, so that might be the issue. If not, you can always reach me via email, located on my side bar. Thank you!
